Chimney Inspections

As recommended by the Chimney Safety Institute of America or CSIA, we offer three levels of inspections: Level I, Level II, and Level III.

Level I inspection: A level one
inspection is recommended when evaluating a chimney system for continued
service and the conditions of the use are not changing. This is
the type of inspection normally done during routine cleaning.

Level II inspection: A Level II
inspection is more detailed and thorough than a Level I inspection
and is recommended when the conditions of the use for the appliance
or venting system are changing or when a Level I inspection reveals
the need for a more detailed inspection. Video scanning equipment
may be needed for a Level II inspection.

Level III inspection: A Level III
inspection is the most detailed of all of the inspection types and
includes inspection of concealed areas of the building.

Internal Digital Camera Inspection:
State of the art digital equipment allows for the interior of your flue
to be assessed and recorded. A digital camera inspection is often
needed to evaluate the interior of the flue, see beyond an offset,
and to assess the condition of clay flue tiles. The equipment allows
a homeowner to view the damage in the comfort of their home. The
colored images can be downloaded to a disk and viewed or printed
from your home computer. 20 years of experience performing chimney camera inspections have given us a "trained eye" and the knoweldge you want and need for your chimney.

The CSIA has the only national certification program for the chimney and venting service industry. Professionals who have earned the CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep Technician credentials have demonstrated their commitment to fire and chimney safety.

Don't be fooled by anyone stating they give Certfied inspections, there is no such certification in the chimney / fireplace industry. Only if they have a CSIA certification (check on line at www.csia.org) are you getting a certified professional.
